About Me

Why hello, I’m glad you clicked on this particular page.  Nice to meet you. Let me introduce myself; My name is Marija.

I am an animal loving, aspiring vegetarian teenager who resides in a mildly small country called Serbia with my 7 cats and my father. I am currently in Highschool, performing as a Chemistry major. You might think that’s what interest me but don’t let it fool you. I didn’t have much choice in picking my school and what I am being taught has no real relevance to my real interests.
My biggest interest is Philology and what I aspire most to be is a teacher or a translator. I would love if I could share my talent for languages with the world and use it to translate one of the many things I adore, marvelous books. This may not show in my blog posts because most of them are in the heat of the moment, right when I feel inspired and motivated to write and it’s very hard for me to compile my thoughts wisely.
I am quite lazy so that may be why I don’t put my talents to good use and why becoming a teacher is nearly impossible at this point. That saddens me a lot because outside of, books, languages & art I have no real enthusiasm about anything.

I may have lied just now because of one of my biggest loves in this world are animals. I love them, I respect them, I nurture them, I understand them and they do the same for me.

I am a very obsessive and compulsive person when it comes to things that I like and that I am interested in, and I do mean the very small things too. I am opinionated but I know when to keep my mouth shut and observe, which is what I do 90% of my time. I love to spread awareness on things that I am passionate about and on things I believe to be right. I am very chatsy and open minded so naturally I love jumping into discussions if I have a formed opinion on the subject.

Now that’s all great but the negatives in all of that is that I am also very self-conscious and careful with what I write, therefore many of my brilliant posts are left in the Draft folder even though I do have things to say, which irritates me. I irritate myself. I always think backwards and minimize the worth and value of my post and I convince myself I am right.
Due to this, many of my writing’s are left to be seen only by my eyes in a number of my notebooks I stock up on daily.

I’ll tell you a few more basic things about me:
I listen to all kinds of music. From soft country to death metal. I’ll find myself in almost every genre, it all depends on the artist and lyrics. My favorite colors are most likely purple and gray, since that’s the color of anything I find myself grabbing onto too. Even my glasses. Oh yes, I wear glasses.
I don’t know how to take care of plants. I end up killing them.

I don’t know how to climb trees, or ride a bike. But I know how to hang upside down on a tree branch and how to roller blade. I enjoy taking long walks, preferably alone to sort out my thoughts and whatever I am feeling. I am quite introverted.

{Now about this silly blog you stumbled upon};

This blog will be about anything that springs onto my mind. My life, my interests, my dislikes, my passions, my opinions, my daily throwbacks, my lists and everything else you might think off or want to read. I don’t have much expectations with it and I never have, even though I am grateful for whatever number that may be on my follower’s list. It’s a very nice hobby I have had for years and a way to fill up a place, a hole in my heart that was once left for possible writing careers. But that’s not happening. All of that is with me and on my many shelfs.

I do greatly hope you leave a comment, suggest, enjoy most of all!

  1. With a better memory, you would know that the smart fraction th&s;holdr#39es an abyssal ~108; your spleen for the dubious 'Odin' — who in point of fact exchanged one eye for knowledge — has little to do with the effulgent meterstick of IQ. Caring means sharing, nigga. Maybe you should be looking for square dealers, not a crack sedan chair crew.

  2. Hi Marija!
Thanks so much for visiting my site! I’ve really enjoyed reading several of your posts, and especially your About page. I think it’s neat that we have a few things in common: an interest in books and animals, along with the obsessive-compulsive bit. 🙂 I look forward to learning more about you!
    Blessings,

    1. Aw thank you! I never really thought my writing style. I’ve always had teachers write a little side note beside every paper “Great, but work on your style”. What does that mean?

      I’m glad I found a fellow animal lover! 🙂

      1. I don’t know, I think everyone has their own personal writing style, and it seems silly to tell someone to work in theirs. It’s true that different writing styles appeal to different people. But whatever your teachers say, I do enjoy the way that you write. 🙂

  3. Just stumbled across your blog and I’m very intrigued by it. I’m looking forward to hearing more. 🙂

Also, I’ve switched off between being a vegetarian and a pescetarian fo about 3.5 years; I currently consider myself a pescetarian. If you’d like any tips on how I’ve managed this living in a family that has a very heavy meat diet, I’d love to give any advice I can!

    1. Please do! Email me if you’d like. I struggle with it, also because my family isn’t very supportive of any quittage of meat but I just feel too strongly about it.

Please if you are intrigued, rattle around and see if you like anything. Suggestions are always open, if you’d like to read about something specific! 🙂

  5. hi Marija
THANK YOU FOR VISITING MY SITE,
until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.
the reason the animals live a short life, is because they already know how to love, humans are given more time to learn.i thought id share that with you, since you love animals,i do to,take care and God bless.

      1. Heheh *hugs*! I do have to ask though, since I’ve never encountered these things. Does it have to be female bloggers? Hence Sisterhood.
And do I have to do it right now? And can I nominate you, as well?

      2. I’m not entirely sure – but I stuck to female bloggers because of the sisterhood bit 🙂
Nope, you can do it whenever you want! No rush! (Mine took months..I’m so lazy!) and then, ohhhh you can but you don’t have to – a mention that I nominated you is enough, don’t worry!
(Rules are on the post) 🙂
